It took me almost a month to read this book, because on the one hand it does have a lot of pages. On the other hand it was q bit hard to get into the story in the beginning. For me it got interesting when the story reached the point where Elphabas story really starts - when she goes to College.
But even then it was sometimes difficult to read, the writing style is not the easiest. But for some books it is worth it to pull through - and that's the case here.
Now I see the character of the Wicked Witch in a whole different light! The book was very illuminating, so to say! Tragic character, and all in all a quite politcal book, with the discussion about the humans vs. animals, and their respective rights.
