Book Description
Claire and her mother are running out of time, but they don't know it. Not yet. Claire is wrapped up with the difficulties of her bourgeoning adulthood—boys, school, friends, identity; Claire's mother, a single mom, is rushed off her feet both at work and at home. They rarely find themselves in the same room at the same time, and it often seems that the only thing they can count on are notes to each other on the refrigerator door. When home is threatened by a crisis, their relationship experiences a momentous change. Forced to reevaluate the delicate balance between their personal lives and their bond as mother and daughter, Claire and her mother find new love and devotion for one another deeper than anything they had ever imagined.
Fantastic book. I read it in an hour and cried a tear at the end.

Very moving and an original format. A good one to get teenagers reading I think because of its style.

I got this book Saturday morning and finished it in one go during a lazy Saturday breakfast. I liked the style of the book and that you had to make up your own story of what might have happened in between the fridge notes. I am grateful that I did not have to handle such a situation when I was a teenager. I will ask for the next person´s address and then send it off quickly.

Read this yesterday. The style of writing made it a quick read. I found Claire the self-centred a lot of the time and a bit spoilt, but that's a pretty accurate representation of ebing 15, so it didn't bother me.
PMing lauraloo29 now for her address.

This arrived today. Hmmmm I just get rid of a bookring and another appears in my mailbox...... :) No worries. I will keep it moving.
I finished this in one seating today. I liked the style. I was a bit frustrated that so much was so much to read between the lines. Maybe I was tired today. :) I have the next address and will get it in in the mail next week. Thank you for sharing!
Wow - I read this in about an hour and had tears streaming down my face about half that time. Wonderful and heartbreaking read to a mom of daughter(s). Thank you for including me in this bookring!
