Thank you Christin82, first for hosting this fun VBB and second for sharing this book. I had really enjoyed reading the first page. I like things regarding India, but never had chance to read a book by an Indian author or about/set in India. Thank you!
A very beautiful story. It's not the kind of book I would have picked up from a library, so I'm glad that the first page got me interested. This story is about two girls living in India. The author writes about their lives, about the Indian way of life, their traditions etc. Very beautiful writing.
Will be sending this off to a lucky BCer for HGG 2011.

Thank you, Canadian-babe, I will enjoy this book! Just as it was for you, I probably wouldn't have picked it myself; but here on bookcrossing, I have often found myself reading a book I wouldn't have chosen for myself but which ended up being the perfect choice for me. So I'll trust your judgment ;)

The book travelled to Timisoara with me this week and I just finished it. I did enjoy reading it and trying to understand Anju's and Sudha's choices. The structure of the novel, the forever alternating chapters told by the two girls/women, became a bit boring after a while but oh well.

I exchanged this book for one in German at Libraria Book Corner. It's waiting for new readers on the first floor, on one of the shelves with the used books. There are only ever very few books in English there, so I guess they are in great demand. I'm sure Sister of My Heart will find someone.
