White Teeth

A good read! The book tells a story of two London families with strange cultural back grounds, trying to hold on to their habbits and believes while living in a country that is only half theirs. I found the characters very interesting and real, and Smith's way of writing is simply witty and perceiving.
It's not a master piece but it's a great debut, and I can recommend this to anyone who's ever had a problem with belonging to a group, or anyone who's ever wondered what it's like to not include, to anyone who's never cared about belonging but rater just enjoy a well written story, and to anyone who's never touched a book but would like to know what literature could and should be, when it's good.
