The History of Love

As a first bookcrossing The History of Love fits the bill admirably. it considers the power of love, and meditates on the opposite of disappearing. For me it is so apt as the opening sentence sums up my life as I finally move from a damp flat where over the last 3 years I seem to have acquired mountains of books. "When they write my orbituary.Tomorrow. Or the next day. It will say, Leo Gursky is Survived by an apartment full of shit. I'm surprised I haven't been buried alive. The place isn't big. I have to struggle to keep a path clear between bed and toilet, toilet and kitchen table, kitchen table and front door."
Leopold Gursky was a great writer and Nicole Krauss is not only attractive but a great writer indeed.
