I give it 3 out of 5 stars which is probably high enough considering that I'm not really into the fantasy genre that much. A lot of bits were funny (don't read this in a bus, people will stare at you) and very enjoyable. A good read!

Mailing this to luckaye tomorrow!!

This book arrived in today's mail after a long journey halfway around the world. I'll read it ASAP and send it on to MrBones then.

What could have been expected from these two great authors combined? The murkiness of Gaiman's Neverwhere and the ingenuity of Pratchett's books. Of course, every book about the Apocalypse has to contain Death, and of course Death talks in CAPITAL LETTERS, just like Death in Pratchett's Discworld books (such as .

The following quotation is taken totally out of context, but I liked it nonetheless:
"I've never really liked the Yanks.
They're really nice people, you know.
Yes, but you can't trust people who pick up the ball all the time when they play football." (p.304)

This book is already on it´s way to talkland. I´ve sent it off last week so it should be arriving anytime soon now. I´ve just been too lazy to make the journal entry any sooner.
So here´s my rating: I´m glad I read this book! It´s very funny and easy to read. Even for someone usually not very much into the fanatsy genre(like me), this book was enjoyable enough to keep reading. It didn´t touch me deeply but I guess that´s not the intention of this book anyway.
Having said that, future readers, look forward to some fun and easy reading!

I am very happy to receive this book. It has come at an excellent time for me as I have to take things easy for a while [woohoo excellent excuse to read loads]. It looks to be fun.

A very funny book which had enough dark elements not to make it too light! [Note the pun!] It certainly made me laugh out loud and put a grin on my face.

Released on Sunday, April 04, 2004 at the post office in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England, in Controlled Releases.

Finally after several people either didn't reply to my PM's or had already read the book I have someone to pass this ray on to. It is off to Mom-of-one sometime in the coming week when I can get to the post office.

Journal Entry 15 by Mom-of-one from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA on Monday, May 24, 2004
I'd forgotten that I'd signed up for this ray and already went out and bought my own copy! I'll get this off into the mail to the next person on the list!

Excellent book, by the way!
