Edited 10 April 2012: Wow! This is the first I've read from Crichton and I'm hooked :) A tech-shrouded mystery set in the Nevada desert in the probably-not-too-distant future, this one had me speed reading during lunch breaks and trying to sneak in a few pages whenever I could.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be reading more by this author (I think I have a couple more on my shelves).
