bookguide recommended The Lovely Bones as the perfect bus book for my dog Watson.
And, bookguide was right. Watson jumped for the book as soon as he saw the title (I've been trying to train him not to jump up, but no luck so far). He got really into it - I'm pretty sure I saw him brushing away a tear a couple of times. He also liked the name of the main character: "Salmon, like the fish".
I read the book when I got it back from Watson. Good characterisation, but perhaps the ending was slightly too tidy.
We'll wild release this somewhere when we pass through London.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
We'll have a little time in London tomorrow afternoon, before catching a flight. Watson wants to visit Hyde Park Corner - Byron's his hero, because of "Epitaph to a Dog", so he wants to visit the statue of Byron with Boatswain the Newfoundland. Watson thinks "Epitaph" describes him: "Strength without Insolence/Courage without Ferocity/and all the Virtues of Man without his Vices." I dunno, he's pretty cheeky at times, and I've seen him hiding from spiders. ("Only giant ones," he says!)
