This is a reissue of the debut novel by Joanne Harris, of "Chocolat" fame. The story flits between past and present, with both stories linked by a vampire - yes, I said vampire! Not the usual type of Joanne Harris story, which she admits herself in the authors note at the start of the book. It is, however, a decent read and ideal as a holiday book, as it requires no effort but keeps you interested.

This copy has already been on a journey with me - to Rome last year - so I am hoping it may go to more foreign climes in due course!
