Al ser argentina y por tal motivo compartir una parte de la historia de mi país con España, todo lo que había escuchado y leido acerca de Sir Francis Drake no era precisamente bueno: que era un pirata desalmado, que era un ladrón, que era el amante de la Reina Elizabeth...

Entonces encontré este librito. En él nos cuentan acerca de Sir Francis Drake desde el punto de vista de un inglés. Y eso equilibra la perspectiva hipánica que yo tenía.

Es un libro claramente orientado a los niños de 1950 por lo tanto es muy fácil de leer, especialmente para quienes el inglés no es nuestra lengua materna.

Entonces si te gustan las historias de marinos tanto como a mi, probablemente te guste!!!

ENGLISH:
Being Argentinian, and therefore sharing a part of the history of my country with Spain, everything I've ever heard and read about Sir Francis Drake was really bad: that he was a mercyless pirat. That he was a thief. That he was Queen Elizabeth's lover...

Then I found this little book. It tells us about Sir Francis Drake from an English point of view. And that balances the Spanish perspective I had.

It is a book clearly orientated to children of 1950 so it's very easy to read, specially if you are not a native English speaker.

So if you like sailors stories as much as I do, the you'll probably like it!
