Erotic Writings (A New Zealand Collection)
7 journalers for this copy...
Picked this one up from one of the opshops in Greymouth a couple of years ago.
This collection features a range of different writers and different subjects but they all deal in some part with erotica and sexuality.
While I read most of the book (there was one story I skipped and others I skim read) in my opinion there wasn't that many that really stood out to me. My favourites from the collection were "Working", the extract from "Tanker Man" and "Taken in the Rain".
Taking this one to the convention tomorrow.
picked up at the convention :)
like alkaline-kiwi I skipped one story but overall it was a good collection of stories covering a broad range of subjects within the realm of erotica and sexuality.

RABCK, little souvenir from the Christchurch convention, though you might like it :)
Thankyou. I wonder if I will read the story you skipped?
Like all collections of stories I liked some more than others. There was only one I skipped...I wonder if we have all skipped the same story?

An enjoyable read. I didn't skip any of the stories but I didn't really like 'The Duration of a kiss' and 'Mediatrix' which was a bit odd, wasn't really sure what was going on there. Was she trying to have sex with a dolphin? :s

Thanks for sending me this book from the Erotic VBB! This is a well-traveled book! Looking forward to reading this. I've read a bit of erotica, but none from exclusively New Zealand authors.

My Review: I probably only read half of these stories, the rest I skimmed. My favorite one was The Woman of Tuscony House by Mike Johnson. It's the one supposedly written by Edgar Allen Poe about a haunted hotel and a woman ghost who seduces the male guests. Not sure if it was ACTUALLY written by Edgar Allen Poe, but it's an interesting story.
Saved for a bookbox.
