will read and do a controlled release to my sister who likes all things pirate and tales of the sea.
Started reading this again... i think i may have read some of it before. I would like nothing more than to have been born in the age of sail. The world was so much newer then and people didn't take things so for granted. Life was cheaper too and people were commodities but it must have been exciting to put to sea and not know whether you would ever see the shores of england again.

I liked the story and the idea of Selkirk surviving on his island, longing to leave and then realising he wanted nothing more than to go back but the book was longer than it should have been and a little bit repetitive in places. The pictures of the island look amazing! If i was ever to get shipwrecked it would be my number 1 location.
