An interesting read with many a twist to the tale, many of which I didn't see coming so that made the story more ...enjoyable may not be the right word. The author's style of writing is set up well, with a flash backs being used extensively in a seemingly random way.
I laughed out loud at some of the interaction between the main character and her family, especially when she opened her stocking at christmas.
Not a book for the easily shocked. The author seems to have done a lot of research on gender reassignment surgery, drug addiction, and plastic surgery following traumatic body disfiguration.

I lent this to a friend who was going on holiday, she declares it one of her top three books of all time!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it.
