i'm sure everyone's had it up to here with starwars as mythology. well, this book is sort of more of the same. only it's great! a psychologist guides his readers scene for scene through the trilogy explaining each scene from a jungian perspective.
light, for instance, represents the illumination of problems. blades help cut through difficult situations. so, lightsabers are powerful illuminating and problem solving tools. that's why it is so important that luke abandon his father's lightsaber in Empire Strikes Back and weild his own in Return of the Jedi.
