This book is absolutly excellent, a really good read. It is the story of a mormon sect in rural USA, and a murder that has occured there. At the same time is the story of Eliza Young another polygamous wife. It is a purely beautiful read that is easy to take in, and you'll have read it before you know. It accompanied me to Belgium and I couldn't put it down for eight hours on the bus!

Picked this up from the shelf in Costa.Hadn't heard of this book, but I like the sound of the story. It is also a Richard and Judy bookclub book and I have been pleasantly suprised by several of their choices.

Really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the different strands of the story, Jordon a child of a polygamous marriage who has been 'thrown out' of the Mormon community investigating the murder of his father with the aim of clearing his mother of the crime.

And the story of Ann-Eliza a polygamous wife in the 19 century and her escape and crusade to have polygamy outlawed.

By a strange twist of fate having not crossed paths with any Latter day saints for quite some time, the morning after I finished the book, I was waiting at a bus stop with a group of name-tagged LDS's.

I will now pass this book onto my friend, who was with me the day I picked this up in Costa and has asked to read it neaxt.
