Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie

Purchased from Waterstones in Colchester with gift a card.
An enjoyable read. Written as a series of letters it is easy to pick up and put down when you wish. The way the main character gradually learns about life in occupied Guernsey is well done although the love interest is rather obvious and simplistic in my view. A whole batch of warm but interesting characters makes the book a pleasure to read.

wonderful : funny, touching, food for thought. I read till 1AM, even though the ending is a bit foreseeable.

Received with thanks. I am going away for a long weekend, and will be taking this with me as my holiday reading! The books for Tamsine were sent a few days ago.
What a super book! I can see why many Bookcrossers love this. I have nearly finished it (on my weekend away) and when I have, I will be lending it to my Dad, who I think will enjoy it. He always returns books to me, so it will be bookcrossed again fairly soon.
Thanks very much for giving me the chance to read this.
