I like this book so far. It's a story set in turn of the century Vienna starring Liebermann, a doctor who is interested in psycho analysis and Rheinhardt, a policeman investigating a mysterious suicide.
What confuses me is that some German expressions and Austrian street names etc. are mispelled. Don't they let native speakers double check that? In German, there is a difference between ä and a. And if you can't write an ä, you spell it ae, not a! If you write a whole mystery series set in Vienna, you should know that.

I agree with Verenka - having to see something like "Weiner Zeitung" very early in, on page 4 (I'm slightly a.r. about things), looks like sloppy editing/research to me. Might re-release it w/o further reading, the story doesn't really grab me.

Oops, picked this book up ages ago but forgot to journal it - now I'm sending it back to the OBCZ to start its journey again. I didn't get around to reading it and decided I probably never would!
