Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death
14 journalers for this copy...
High flying public relations supremo Agatha Raisin has decided to take early retirement. She's off to make a new life in a picture-perfect Cotswold village. To make friends, she enters the local quiche-making competition - and to make quite sure of first prize she secretly pays a visit to a London deli. But alas, the competition judge succumbs after tasting her perfect quicke, and Agatha is revealed as a cheat and potential poisoner. Definitely not the best start. So Agatha must turn amateur sleuth - she's absolutely got to track down the real killer!

I will be starting the book either tonight or tomorrow.
I read Perfect Paragon previously and loved the Agatha Raisin character.
This is the first in the series and I loved it. It was interesting to learn the start of how Agatha came to the detective trade.
I like Bill and I think I shall grow to like James Lacey

I received this package a while ago. I just opened it today. Life has gotten rather and just now had a chance to open and journal this today. I thank I'm going to pass on this bookspiral right now because life is too crazy. I will contact Bug2004 and send it out this week by Tuesday or Thursday. Thank you for sharing.
This is going out tomorrow afternoon.
Re'cvd today. I have several in front, but will get to it as quick as I can. Thanks for sharing! :)
Indeed a quick, fun, cozy read. Nothing terribly special, just light and easy. Not sure whether I like Agatha or not at this point, but I love the little village and the goofy characters along the way.
My sincere apologies for holding it so long. Off tmrrw!
Arrived safe and sound in Ohio today along with 3 other bookrings. I'll get to this as soon as I can. I keep my profile updated (weekly) so you can always see how close this is to the top of the TBR listing. Thanks for including me and to bug2004 for mailing this to me.
It was okay, I really don't like Agatha but I do like her village and some of the characters in it. I'll get this on its way before Thanksgiving along with VIcious Vet.

Arrived today, along with the Viscious Vet. Thanks for sending them, sunfi!
I've been reading some rather serious books lately, so this was a fun change. I'm looking forward to the rest in the series.
Once I've read The Vicious Vet, I'll be sending them both on.

I really love Agatha - she is an unlikely hero: insecure, socially awkward, rude and middle-aged, but that makes her much more likable than other super detectives. Great!
On its way to the next on the list.
YAY! this book arrived today, with Agatha Raisin and the Vicious Vet. I have really been looking forward to reading this. Thank you Tinina67 for the nice bookmark.
I really enjoyed this first book in the series and have already started reading book #2. Agatha isn't a very nice person but that's what makes her a believable character. I'm hooked and look forward to reading the other books in the series.
ETA: I have received no response to my PM's sent to Bookwormteacher, requesting her postal address.

I loved this book, it had all the essence of the English countryside with a dash of comedy crime capers.
can't wait to read the others, or though I do feel like I have to eat victoria sponge and drink lots of tea while reading them.

Hmm. I picked this up from TiffanyAching on Sunday, but looking at the journals, it appears to be part of an old book spiral. As I've already read it, I'll see if I can find out where it should be and get it moving again.

This is a good fun read. The villagers are quirky and interesting and I like that Agatha has a personality and is a bit rough on the edges. I can see why this series is popular and would definitely want to read more.
