Like most non-biologists, my knowledge of Medel begins and ends with genetic squares and breeding Drosophila in a high school biology class. This was an interesting peek into the life and times of the man credited with crafting the origins of gene theory, and while the author had to stretch a bit to fill in the numerous historical gaps, it was still worth the read. Will be setting this free to travel again soon!
