Delighted to find another Ngaio Marsh book to have available for the World BC Convention April 2009.
Another Superintendent Roderick Alleyn mystery and I'm sure it will be as good as all this author's previous takes. She is a great writer with good plots and strong characters. What else do you need?

Just finsihed re-reading this delightful story. Beautifully crafted and I found it hard to select the main perpetrator right up to the end. All sorts of complicated mental possibilities confused my mind which made likely motives hard to discern.
Unfortunately it is a trifle dated not least because of the frequent use of the word 'ejaculation' which appears quite often. Modern readers would be very confused by that I suspect. Well worth reading though.

Hi, I picked this book up from the "Books for Release" table at the World Bookcrossing Convention held in Christchurch at the weekend. I am quite new to bookcrossing and so haven't got lots of books of my own to release. Picked up lots of books over the weekend - some that I want to keep on my bookshelf to read (when I get the time) and some to release into the wild!!!
