Thank you for this wish list book and everything else in my wonderful parcel. I will enjoy reading my book, eating my Lindor in the bath and using my Lush bubblebar whilst waiting for my Christmas tree to grow.
This book has to be one of my all time favourites. It is not an historical story but it is based on true events. The story is told through Siki.
Reading this book I identified with Siki and felt I knew the land she was travelling. It has reinforced my believe that I was an American Indian in a previous incarnation.
When I was a child watching 'Cowboy and Indian' films at Saturday matinees I was on the side of the Indians. I would tell my friends and family that it was their land and they were only fighting for what was theirs. I was laughed at and told they were 'savages' I was ahead of my time obviously.
I will see if there is any interest for a ring but after that it will stay in my permanent collection.

What a great story and so well told. Once again it makes you realise what gross injustices were carried out against these beautiful people by the greedy and thoughtless 'white' man.
Will now be sending off to Tanamo.

The book has arrived safely. Will get to it as soon as I can.
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I do so agree with the previous comment about the injustice done to the Native Americans. Siki's horror at the truth of her birth really reflects the situation. Sadly it is still being done today in some cases as they, like African Americans, can still be the victims of prejudice.
I'm now mailing the book back to Dolph1n. Thanks for sharing Viv.
