Good mystery, interesting characters - I've added this author to my 'Wish List'.
Great to read about someone who collects 'lots of stuff' - and who's not ashamed to admit it...

Fingers cut off and preserved! Collectible bakelite! Rooms full of STUFF! This is a fluff mystery and the collectibles are just as important as the mystery. A good read.

good mystery, enjoyed the path to the answer
Picked up at the meet-up tonight. Haven't read anything by this author - looks good.
I enjoyed this one and would read more. The subject matter is one I know nothing about, except for the outdated furniture I have had in my own house for decades. I like the characters in this series.
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
This is now on its way to Erishkigal, who chose it out of Loriped/Shroffland's Mysterious Mysteries VBB. Enjoy!

And it's in Utah! The mail seems to be much quicker coming this way than heading north right now~~
Anyway, as a theater prop master/set dresser who's often hunting for just the right period "stuff," and as an inveterate pack rat, I am looking forward to this! Thanks for offering it in the box!!

What Total fun! I liked the characters, and enjoyed the journey. And as for the "stuff", I was hooked at the first mention of Bakelite (some where in the first 5 pages)! lol. I will be looking for more of Fiffer's books.
On a personal 'stuff'' note, I'm having an awful(heartbreaking!) time paring down the Grand's prop storage. SLCC is about to tear down our building, and we'll be put in storage till the new one is ready. But even when it is, we'll have 1/4-1-3 the space we have now :-((( It's so hard!! And so ridiculous: there's money to build, while staff hours are being cut like crazy, because budgets are cut, AND the cost of productions will rise when then set, props, and costumes have to be bought or built over and over again> Stupidity!
Ah well, I think I'll bring home one of my favorites, the "Popecracker" I built for "Nunsense" it's a Pope nutcracker~~lots of fun to do~and time-consuming :-)
Thanks for offering this in the vbb, and turning me on to a new author~
