I'm surprised I have read so many poor reviews of this book. I liked it. We get to know the lion a lot better - not always a nice character but, as the story continues, we learn that the lion is well aware of his flaws - more than can be said of many a person with unpleasant character traits. Wicked is always going to be the jewel in the crown but this is good reading too.
