The Buried Pyramid (Tor Fantasy)

Not a bad read. It was, for the most part, historical. It was like being on a tour trip in Egypt (it wasn't boring, it just put you there!)and then about the last 150 pages it turned into a fantasy, and it really got interesting. I quite in enjoyed it, it was kind of like Indiana Jones and the Mummy mixed. Very good stuff.

It was good, I agree! More "The Mummy" than Indiana Jones, a host of appealling characters - just gets a little bit "weird" at the end. Not in a bad way, just in a "I didn't think it was that kind of book" way. I think I like this author's stuff, though, and I will try to get my hands on more!

Arrived today. Adding to Mt TBR. Thankyou
Starts as an historical adventure, searching for a pyramid in Egypt, then turns into a fantasy.
A good read, if not quite what I expected.
