This popular and critically admired book did not appeal to me. I read it about a year ago and although I loved the story line I found this to be yet another book in desperate need of an editor. Perhaps this would have been an excellent book at 300 or 400 pages but at 550 pages I found it to be quite boring. I also couldn't stand the poetry - terrible stuff!!
I am aware that there are many, many readers out there who disagree with me and I sincerely hope this book finds its way into the hands of one of them.
