About a quarter of the way into this book. Finding it a bit difficult so far but mainly cos i am short on time. Will write more when I am finished.
Journal Entry 2 by Ashleigh4985 from Edinburgh, Scotland United Kingdom on Tuesday, January 20, 2009
Finished this book recently and I have to say I wasn't that impressed. I really enjoyed the fim but the way that the book is written is far to descriptive for me. It pays the same amount of attention to detail as Patrick does in the film. For example endless descriptions of clothing choices. It is very rare that I enjoy the film more than the book.

Found the book quite hard going in places. I agree with the previous BCer that the depth of descriptions the book goes into can get tedious at times. I would however give it another go, when I have more time to settle into reading it.

Journal Entry 8 by kingfan30 from Somewhere in Lincs 🤷♂️, Lincolnshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, May 5, 2009
Book has arrived. Will finish the one I am reading and then get onto it.
12th May 09 - I have not seen the film so can not compare the book to that. It is the first book of this kind that I have read that has been written in the first person and I wonder if this is the reason I found the descriptions of the murders quite graphic and shocking. I can understand why previous reviews say the descriptions of clothing were tedious, but I guess it is a kind of OCD type thing that the character suffers from. I also felt the ending was a bit weird. Thanks for including me in the ray, I have the DeeKay57's address and will post it tomorrow.
