I love this beautifully written book about loss and knowing.
Reserved for Bookgirrl.
" Michael Redhill's first novel seems destined to become a small classic, one of those books handed from friend to friend...." (Was Books in Canada channelling Bookcrossing????)
Oh boy, oh boy....can't wait 'til Christmas Holidays to sink my teeth into this book. In October, I read "Consolation" and enjoyed the Toronto locations/history/characters. After that, I read a book that was a real groundbreaker in 1960: "The Torontonians" - all about housewifely angst in the suburbs. (I think the neighbourhood "Rowanwood" is meant to be Don Mills)
Anyway, I read just the first page of "Martin Sloane" and was hooked on the urban scenery. Thanks Crazy-Book-Lady! And, sorry I misplaced the book for so long and made you wait for a JE!
'See you on Saturday.

I can't recall where I picked this up, but I haven't had time to read it :( Passing it on by leaving it somewhere secret :D ... Although if I go back in a couple of weeks and it's still there, I'll take it back and read it!
