Louis L'Amour is popular. I've read several of his westerns and have no particular compulsion to read more. I read this one because it seemed not to be a 'typical' L'Amour: In my opinion it is not 'typical' for a L'Amour western. The difference is refreshing. My opinion of L'Amour's writing may change. I'll have to read another one or two. Sometime.
