From a Miami diner to the North Pole, and Ghana to Northumberland, this collection of essays/memoires takes you into the heart of the place they're visiting.
I rather like this sort of narrative travel writing which accepts and celebrates the fact that each person's perception of a place will be different. This is a good collection and well worth a look.
