God-Shaped Hole

This is one of those chicky relationship books. You know the ones that seem to require glossy, catchy covers and can be read quickly (good plane ride reads, by the by). I usually steer away from them because I love to pretend that relationships aren't important to me and I refrain (sometimes futiley) to join the rat race of "rules" and compulsions over romantic unions. I also disagree with the generational perpetuation of a notion that there's that one person...the old female fairy tale and I find it sad to watch the race. Don't fret I still believe in love-- just not sure it's a "forever" concept. With that said (as I step off my soapbox) this book is about "runners" (my moniker for those who flee from intimacy) and the effects of fatherless childhoods and that made the book well worth reading and interesting as these are topics that grab me. Not that you couldn't guess that after reading through my reviews!
Bottom Line, Lesson Learned: If your ass hits the toilet seat whilst squatting over it...be afraid...be VERY afraid!
