The BM8 „EROTIC BOOK BOX“ #1
9 journalers for this copy...
Journal Entry 1 by book-man-8 from Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg Germany on Wednesday, October 15, 2008
This “EROTIC BOOK BOX” is only for really open-minded adults only!
I’m often surprised at the fantasy expressed by these authors. Of course, it’s no literature, but nevertheless quite often nicely written.
I’ve got 10 books in the box, the total weight is just under 2 Kg, so it can be sent very cost effective as “small parcel”, “petit paquet”, “Päckchen”.
The box starts with the following books:
“The Indulgence of Isabel” by Penny Birch
“Bound in Blue” by Monica Belle
“Palazzuo” by Jan Smith
“Virtuoso” by Katrina Vinzenzi
”Dawn’s Awakening” by Lora Leigh
“Dirty Havana Trilogy” by Pedro Juan Gutiérrez
“Brush Strokes” by Penny Birch
“Over the Knee” by Fiona Locke
“Butter wouldn’t melt” by Penny Birch
“Down Under” by Juliet Hastings
Please note: as most of these books are quick to read, you may read one or two of them while the box remains with you, 2, max 3 weeks, then put them back in, after making a JE! Thanks!
Please follow these instructions:
1) when you get the box, make a JE;
2) take one or more books out of the box – books you really would like to read;
3) put the same number of books into the box (suitable to the theme of the box!);
4) make another JE;
5) send the box to the next address and make a JE.
It would be nice if the box wouldn’t stay with you more than 2-3 weeks. Thanks!
The box will travel to the following bookcrossers:
"Sterile" from Burnley, Lancashire, United Kingdom (UK / Europe)
"Kryssa" from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, United Kingdom (UK / Europe)
"Vekiki" from London, Greater London, United Kingdom (Europe)
"Amber-moon" from Mansfield, United Kingdom (Europe)
"jazz-ee2" from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom (Europe)
"Bjorg" from Reykjavík, Reykjavík (Höfuðborgar svæðið), Iceland (Europe)
"penelopewanders" from Hasliberg, Bern / Berne, Switzerland (Europe)
"okyrhoe" from Athens, Attica, Greece (Europe)
"PatriciaLeao" from Penafiel, Norte, Portugal (Europe, Brasil, USA)
"kanaye44" from Norwich, Connecticut, USA (USA)
back to "Book-Man-8", BUT:
first send a list with the books in the box; I would not like to get books I've already read! And for airmail postage, also check with me!

The box arrived this morning with the postman. If only he knew what treasures he was carrying! I nearly told him, but he's a sour faced man and he might not have been able to carry on with his round... Thanks to Book-man-8 for creating such an 'interesting' box!

Journal Entry 14 by penelopewanders from Saint-Loup-des Vignes, Centre France on Friday, March 27, 2009
Oh, this just arrived here.. but I'm leaving on holiday the day after tomorrow, and can't take the box with me! I won't really have time to deal with this now as I'm up to my ears in last minute work stuff. I hope it's ok if this stays here for a little longer than three weeks - I'll try to make short work of dealing with it when I return. Thanks so much for sending. I may have to replace the actual box when I send it further as it is a bit travel weary.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
This has finally resumed its travels, next port of call: Athens. Sooo sorry for the long delay, but pre-holiday and post-holiday work kept me from being able to find a quiet moment to sort this out.
Meanwhile I'm told this should arrive in 6-15 days, but personally I wouldn't worry before three weeks! Unfortunately my scale at home was broken so I didn't dare add an additional film for fear of tipping over 2 kilos. Maybe next box, by then my scales should be back from repairs.
Meanwhile, in the box are
Most Buxom
Black Lace Quickies 2
Black Lace Quickies 3
Black Lace Quickies 5
Naughty Naughty
Nights in White Cotton
The Cruel and the Meek
The Marciano Love Child
and the two DVDs
The Crying Game
In the Mood for Love
I have added
The Circle by N.T. Morley
Unearthly Desires by Ray Gordon
and removed
Dawn's Awakening
Menage
When I watched The Crying Game (which I'd seen in cinema when it came out - great film) it kept "stuttering".. not sure if it's the film or the laptop we were watching it on. I didn't get a chance to watch In the Mood for Love, as much as I would have liked to.
Ok, think that's it. Thanks so much for making these available!

I sent this in April and it still hasn't arrived!!! I'm worried! You'd think the postal services would have finished reading these books and passing them around by now, right? (They don't REALLY do that, do they??)
Ok, it's not QUITE two months on the road yet, but I sure hope this hasn't gotten lost!

Woo-Hoo! The box isn't lost, it was taking its own sweet time getting here!
I went to post some Bookcrossing & Bookmooch books today, and was told at the p.office that I had a large package waiting for me. So it was a very pleasant surprise, after giving up on the box, especially also after a very trying weekend....
I do need some R&R, some trashy reads, to overcome the shock of the forest fires near my house this past Saturday & Sunday.
There were three raging wildfires heading in our direction.
Saturday evening I packed a suitcase with the bare essentials (plus boxes for my 5 kitties) ready for when we'd receive the order to evacuate, as was the case with the communities just north of here.
You know all the lists you make in your head about the ten books you can't live without? When reality strikes, you don't have time to think about books at all!
It's been three days now and I can't seem to be able to get back to the novels I've left unfinished.
Maybe the 'mindless' books in this lot will help me relax a bit....
