I KNEW this was a registered book before I read it. I guess the label has fallen off, so I have put on a new one now.

This wasn't really my cup of tea, so to speak. It will be offered to the 1,001 library though.

I enjoyed this without seeing what the big deal was. I thought the strong sense of place was probably the best thing about it... Frankly, the writing style wasn't really to my taste, and the supporting characters were either caracatures or exceedingly dull. The plot... Isn't much to it, which can be okay, but then it had these random bizarre twists that I didn't fully understand? The suitcase? The funeral? Maybe there is deeper symbolism there, but I'm the type that just gets annoyed by all mention of symbolism and therefore reject it.

Still, I did enjoy reading it and it never felt like a chore, so there must have been something to it for me. Thanks again for sharing!

This has been available from the 1001-Library since 2012 and hasn't been requested, so I am removing it from circulation and releasing elsewhere. It is high time this book found a new reader!
