Fantastically angry and powerful short memoir. Really funny in places too. So honest. I loved it.

caught at the English meet-up at Maschu Maschu

knowing the insight of a fat girl myself I wanted to read about someone who has the guts to write about this experience...

Journal Entry 4 by SabinaLorenz from Wien Bezirk 19 - Döbling, Wien Austria on Sunday, November 9, 2008
I couldn't laugh when reading the book, but I felt sad for Judith. I really would like to know, how fat she was when she was a child and whether it was more a perception of being fat, than actually being fat. And that wrong perception lead to the wrong behaviors... and it seems that nobody checked her glands, whether something is wrong... and her mother beating her didn't help neither. So as a summary I would say that it is a saddening story, but it is good, that it has been told.
I do hope that Judith finally came to love herself and is able to accept her body and its size.

Wow what a childhood!
This was indeed told in a very angry and powerful way.
At times it was quite disturbing.

I have to agree with SabinaLorenz that it is a story that needed to be told:
I hope Judith Moore found it helpful
-Thanks once again for all the effort you put in to get it to me :)
Will get it moving on soon
