Picked this up in a charity shop. It looks like zombie fun! One third of the world's population are the resurrected dead. "It's November the Second 2063 - the Day of the Dead" ... "Down in Necroville, the dead are planning to party - and everyone's invited."

thinking of reading for Jare's Chills and Spills Challenge - October is Halloween free for all, so I could release this then, or save it for Zombie theme next year if the challenge happens again! I am tempted to read it in October and release it on November 2nd ...

I'm not sure I always understood what was going on with this book. it is pretty wierd. A world where when you die thanks to nanotechnology you are resurrected and become something sort of the same and something sort of other. They are stronger, self reparing and when killed get up again!! The living are called 'the meat' and the dead 'the dead'. It is very expensive to be resurrected, and the dead have limited status in society (many are indentured, and they don't have legal rights in relation to most aspects of the law. There is a curfew so they are kept in their 'cities' after dark). Necroville is a city of the dead and five 'meat' go down to party on the day of the dead. All sorts of things happen to them and running alongide their 5 adventures is an invasion by the 'freedead' who live off planet. it's all very chaotic and confusing but fun.
