Small Gods
1 journaler for this copy...
If any proof were needed that BookCrossing is addictive, check this out - this is the third copy of "Small Gods" that I've registered. And I'm only releasing this one because I bought the hardcover "gods" trilogy that includes "Pyramids," "Small Gods," and "Hogfather".
I rambled at some length about this book in my first release (click here); for this one I'd just like to add that there's a timely scene in this book - unfortunately so. At one point, invaders are about to burn the Ephebe library (a take on the burning of the library of Alexandria, of course); since the news of late has been full of reports of the looting of Baghdad museums and libraries, this takes on a certain poignance. [And, sadly, I don't think that the Discworld workaround could apply here - although if anyone hears reports of stray banana peels found in the ruins of Baghdad, perhaps there's hope...]
