Mia's back from her first royal trip to Genovia and so excited to see Michael again, but just before their first real date, grandmere turns up announcing an unmissable royal engagement.

This was pretty fun light frothy stuff.

What amused me the most was that in the book, there is all this talk of a made-for-TV movie about Mia's life. From the description you can tell they are talking about "The Princess Diaries" movie that actually came out. So that was highly amusing as they compare movie to "real" ie book life.

So throughly enjoyed, roll on number 5?

*g* and I'd told Bookfrog that I didn't want to read the third and the fourth in the series. Bookfrog passed these to me at Sydney meetup tonight. The first two were fun and easy reads. I may as well finish what I started :D.

Finished this on the weekend at the beach. Mia is still the same insecure person she was in book one. Don't you think that she would have gained a little self-confidence in the past four books?

My favourite Mia moment:
"And though I have tried to improve myself by watching award-winning movies such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Gladiator, I don't know, I just don't like them. Everybody dies at the end and besides, if there isn't any dancing or explosions, it is very difficult for me to pay attention."
*lol* I'm all for dancing and explosions too!

This is off to jesse250.
