(different cover)
Certain doom awaits Arthur Conan Doyle and his brother on a book tour across America--as it does six unique personages, linked together by dreams of a black tower and a river of blood. Each of these individuals has a role to play in the ultimate battle of good versus evil.

I couldn't get into The List of Seven (to which this is a sequel) so I'm not trying this one myself, but I know somebody who might enjoy it...

Thankyou SO much, Freelunch - this has been on my wishlist for AGES, I can never seem to get a copy!

It's been ages since I read "The List of Seven" so I lost the flow between that one and this one - but I did find "The Six Messiahs" pretty entertaining. It's reasonably dark and gruesome, but I did love Doyle and his love-hate relationship with his famous character, and while the endgame and the premise of the journey was all a little bit more silly than it was scary, the individuals were all interesting and the story flowed well. Frost also writes very visually (perks of being a TV/Film writer I guess) so you could see the Black Church and all the action in your head. Not bad at all!

Arrived today. Thanks jennymidget.

I didn't enjoy "The List of Seven" so I'm going to let this one go unread. May it find a more appreciative home.
