A very refreshing book. I loved the location and local characters of Botswana, and the sense of community. A relaxed pace, a likeable detective.

Sending to another bookcrosser.

I really enjoyed this book. I was expecting a typical mystery where the whole book centers around one major crime but was pleasantly surprised with the variety of cases. Precious Ramotswe opened the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency "to help people with the problems in their lives". She was very unique in the methods used to solve the problems. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Released on Monday, June 02, 2003 at Postal Release in USPS, postal release USA.

Releasing via mail to another bookcrosser. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did Roadrunner!

This is a nice, easy read with lots of descriptions about life in Botswana. This is really a collection of short stories centered around the same characters.

Very very funny book. I've never read anything occuring in Bostwana. Precious is delicious in her tiny white van.
The book's starting its journey through Europe and then...

I really enjoyed this book, very different from the usual detective book...You learn about Precious's father's life, about her life, you learn a lot about Botswana...
I love the way she solves the various cases !
Thanks for the ring, bilbi !

I'm afraid this book is likely to be lost :-\

lesezeichen starts another 'ring so that the remaining participants would receive it.

roadrunner, I hope it's just a "temporary loss" ...

Journal Entry 18 by roadrunner from Spring, Texas USA on Thursday, May 27, 2004
I'm sorry to hear that this book has gone missing but yea for Lesezeichen! She did the same thing for the I Capture The Castle bookring that we were both on. She rocks! That bookring did eventually show up (after three months!) so there is still hope for this book.
