A good read.
A good read.
The Valley Plaza Starbucks is one of the few remaining with a nicely kept community bookshelf. It was fun to find this book there, since I have been wanting to read "Nickel and Dimed." :-) I look forward to reading it soon... and to returning to the Valley Plaza Starbucks with some books of my own to release!
Quite readable, and with an interesting premise. I'll admit I used to associate poverty with unemployment... if people on welfare could just get a job, they would be fine, etc. etc. This book convinced me that we have a much bigger problem on hand. An important read!
