I love this book! Books changed the lives of these characters, struggling for freedom during China's Cultural Revolution. Highly recommended.

This came home yesterday in my (very heavy) Bookish Bookbox. This book will be vacationing in Maryland, until the box goes out again in the fall. I read this several years ago on a booking.

Thanks Debnance8!

A delightful read. I know that I have one Balzac novel in my possession, though not one that was mentioned in this book - may have to dig that one out of my shelves shortly.
