My spouse looked at the book and said, "Catherine Cookson writes... not quite chicklit, rather... mumlit". I read basically anything apart from the venn diagram formed by chicklit and anything "romance", and according to the blurb this book falls somewhere in the romance vicinity. I'll have to let it travel on.
