An amazing book by an amazing author...although I did give up on Dolce - the characters and plot didn't grip me as much as Storm in June. Be sure to read the author's notes and editor's additions.

Interesting look at France during the occupation, esp. how it affected life in a small village. Also a good look at the French culture. Did some skipping, however.
