I'm a big fan of Bradbury, and although I liked this book I wasn't as sucked into it as I usually am with his stories.

Keeping as part of my Permanent Collection, as I may read it again after reading all of the literature references used in the story.

I was at the Fringe Festival this year with my fellow bookcrossers, and found a Ray Bradbury omnibus in red hardcover for 7 DOLLARS! Fahrenheit 451 is included, so I'll bring this one to the OBCZ next time we have a meeting.

It's been a while since I read this and, what with a first meeting at the new OBCZ, how could I not grab it? Thanks Matty. Hey day-zee, what's new?

This is one of those books that remain with you long after you've read it. But even so, coming back to it after many years, I was struck with the richness of Bradbury's language. So even though I knew the story, and frankly who wouldn't even if they had not read it, reading it again was like a brand new experience.

I've never forgotten the mechanical dog, it was the most fearsome thing to me when I first read it, but it has somehow taken on an even more terrifying quality. I fully expect to have nightmares in the coming weeks. I just hope its head doesn't turn out to be the Donald's. *Shudder*

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I've released this book to LFL for now. It's a nice size to grab even if you're jogging or walking the dog. If it happens to be hanging around the next time I go off on a frolic of my own, I may take it with me to release elsewhere.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Time for a new adventure for this book. I left it on the table when I left after an afternoon of hooky with my office mates.

Just about didn't get rid of it. A kind staff member came running out to the parking lot with it thinking I'd left it behind accidentally. Thanks love. I hope you help it find a new reader.

Pretty timeless book. Here we are in the age of fake news, post-modernism. We search for truth, but have lost our will to find it?
