WILD RELEASE NOTES:
1/6/11 My Review:
"Mystery with Psychic Aspects, but not Paranormal
This didn't impress me at all. I quit reading around page 75. Kerry Murphy is an arson investigator who is teamed with Sam, an dog trained in arson investigation. My first "what?"...moreMystery with Psychic Aspects, but not Paranormal
This didn't impress me at all. I quit reading around page 75. Kerry Murphy is an arson investigator who is teamed with Sam, an dog trained in arson investigation. My first "what?" moment came when we find out Sam (the dog) *really* hasn't been able to learn what he needs to know to be an arson dog, but Kerry covers for him. My disenchantment increased after learning that as a child, Kerry was the victim of an intentionally set arson fire that killed her mother (Kerry escaped). She still has nightmares about fires and what sure sounds like PTST (post traumatic stress disorder) from that experience -- but she's an arson investigator? Come on.
There's a mysterious man and shadowy group who have psychic abilities to "see" fires as they are happening, or before they happen. Kerry's psychic re: fires and I think the book was heading into territory that a person or group was plotting attacks with fires that the President (of the U.S.) and the mystery man were trying to solve using these psychic fire people. Bah.
At least I cleared this TBR that's been here for years.
