A friend of mine gave this to me and then promised that I pass it on. I didn't have time to explain the merits of Bookcrossing to them, but here goes anyway.
Similar in story line to both Stephen King's The Stand and Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake. This is a much more specific book though, looking at the relationship between a father and son as they travel "the road" in a post-destruction world. Dark and sad, a vision of a world where trust between people has been completely destroyed and every person must fend for themselves.
I loved it, and my sister new it. She has been book-crossing for a while now and now I have started.
