This is one of those books that you pick up from the shelf and buy because you've heard it mentioned somewhere. It's the story of Sissy Hankshaw, who's one claim to fame is a pair of massive thumbs. Soon she is the world's best hitchhiker.
I can't say much more about the story, as I just couldn't get into the story. I tried a couple of times, but found the style annoying. Although I would really love to find out what happens to Sissy, I couldn't get up enough enthusiasm to read past chapter 10 or so. Maybe it will find a more appreciative home out there and you can tell me what happens!!
