This is essentially two stories in one. The first part of the book deals with the life of Martin Blom who has been shot while walking to his car in a supermarket parking lot. After his accident he's completely blind, but can see in the dark.
He enters the seedy nightime world of strip clubs and sleazy hotels. The book takes a turn in the second half and it becomes more of a psychological thriller.
I found the first half sort of slow and couldn't put it down during the second half.
