The bodyguard: Ilya Prakenskii, cool, inscrutable, dangerously sexy and working in the shadow of his infamous reputation--that of a secret Russian hit man on the payroll of a nototious mobster. he's the last man Joley should get close to, yet when her life is threatened on tour, she has nowhere left to turn. But in the seductive safety of Ilya's embrace, is Joley really as secure as she imagines?

I received this one today. I can't wait to continue the series. But, I definitely figured out who the guy was in the last book. I will read quickly and get it on it's way again.
Hmmm…. What to say about this book. It was alright. But, even with that said - I do want to read the last book and discover the last sister.
I really wanted to like this one – I wish Feehan would have played up the music and music industry more in this book. I wish I would have learned more about spell singing and what that means. Oh well – I look forward to the next one and finishing the series.
I finished this book last week – but, just haven’t got a chance to mail it. It will be going out this week.

This was waiting for me when I returned from holiday yesterday. First of several rings I've plunged into. Thanks for sending!

Story of Joley. Well, I guess this one should rate somewhere between six and nine. If I'd stopped half way through it would have been six, but it got much better towards the end. Not that it was bad, it just felt rather repetitive, with Ilya going on and on about not trusting and never having had a family and Joley going on and on about wanting to but not wanting to. There's always a bit of this, and maybe it was just the circumstances in which I was reading it (it took me longer to get into it than usual, but maybe because I was just returning from holiday and have a lot of other things to do other than plunge into a book), but I almost felt like I was reading the same paragraph, twenty pages on, at times. Then all of a sudden, towards the end, all the protagonists stopped dithering about whether and just do - and the action and suspense picked up dramatically. I enjoyed the ending with Brian (and loved the reaction of the band...) (not that I enjoyed his sorrow, but felt that part became more interesting), and the chase etc was well done, I thought. Don't want to put any spoilers in here, but if it were just the last bit I'd probably give this more points, but had the impression there was a bit of unnecessary page filling earlier in the book. Looking forward to the next. Thanks so much for making this available and sending on. I'll just confirm the next address.

Arrived in Sweden!
Finished this one last night. I really liked this one. I felt the hero and the heroine were equal in some sense. I like the magic parts and wish they could be given more space - without them it's just another romance novel. Me too wanted to know more about spell singing.

Well, this one didn't grab me quite as much as I thought it would. Pity, because I rather like Ilya and Joley. I found the first half of the book rather tedious and had a hard time getting into it. I didn't care very much about all the drama and sub-stories that happened in Joley's band. I just wanted to read about Sea Haven, the house, and the other sisters and their boyfriends/husbands, their crazy magic, and how they all interact with each other!! All these fun elements were really pushed to the background in this book, which is a pity. And indeed, as soon as Aleksandr and Jonas stepped into the scene things started to get spicy and my attention was back. I wonder whether we will ever learn more about Ilya and his role as the seventh son of the seventh son. What really happened to him in his childhood? What happened to his brothers? I wonder whether we will ever find out .. given that there is only one book left.
P.S. oh yeah, and I just have to add this: the cover photo of Ilya is supremely annoying! They make him look like Patrick Swayze, for heaven's sake!! And there no sign of a beard anywhere. Blech! Ok, rant over ;-)

Received today along with Safe Harbor. Thanks to all for sharing - I'll get to it as quickly as possible.
Enjoyable even through the slower parts. I probably do not understand all that happened in light of all of Joley's "powers" - you would have thought she could have prevented some of them. Have contacted the next on the list once and will try again.
Thanks all for sharing.
