Georgette Heyer's first novel. Looking forward to it!
Great fun and an easy read. This was Georgette Heyer's first novel and you can tell. Some of the plotting is haphazard, and the reader wishes Heyer had spent more time telling the story of Diana and the Earl (rather than of Richard and Lavinia), plus the Black Moth himself hardly features, but still, I enjoyed this 1923 first novel more than many contemporary novels I have suffered through!
