CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Being sent to Haugtussa in Norway. If you come across this book, please cherish it and pass it on to your dearest of friends:they will thank you for it. Happy reading!
Parts of the book made me laugh, especially the mothers coming into class trying to teach the children something. I could feel the kids embarresment on my body. Although some of them did have something wise to say; "Stories have a job to do. They can't just lie around like lazybone gods. They have to teach you something."
Other parts nearly made me cry.
Thanks for sharing Fuzzywuzzy, the book will travel I just haven't decided how yet!

Her er Betty 2 til deg.
Håper den faller i smak :)
Thank you! I found this on my desk just now, must have forgotten to journal it when it arrived, I'm sorry. Hope you have not been too worried about it.
Mister Pip is safe for now.
Some of the events happen kind of suddenly, the beginning is so well built up that (trying to not give things away here) I don't really keep up with the change...
I wonder if I would have seen it differently if I had actually read Great Expectations?
Released 14 yrs ago (10/25/2009 UTC) at OBCZ Espresso House Stockholm in Stockholm, Stockholm Sweden
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
On the shelf.
I am very happy that I read this book it gave me lots of food for thought. It was different, for me, a different culture was depicted and I wasn't aware of the history of these islands, at least not in such detail that I could understand what would happen or who the redskins are.
Some parts will stay in my mind, gruesome images of violence and terror, but also nice moments of laughter, joy and happiness. I was surpised that it was set in such modern time, it felt like it happend ages ago.
I am very glad I have read Great Expectations. I don't know if it made any difference but at least I don't have to think that I would have understand something more had I read it.
ps. The fact that this book has travelled quite a lot in a short time (with out being a ray) and that all the readers (so far) have enjoyed it pleases me alot. That is bookcrossing!
*Updated* Forgot to journal before sending it off for the Unconvention. The book was really interesting. Parts were funny, parts sad, parts disturbing and I couldn't put the book down. I really enjoyed it even though it was haunting and stays with you. I think that is part of the beauty of it. I'm so glad that I got the chance to read this book.
